Severe Cold Weather:
Connecticut is expected to experience a blast of arctic temperatures averaging 10 to 20 degrees below normal over the next several days. The state’s Severe Cold Weather Protocol is in effect from 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025, and remaining in effect through 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 9, 2025.
Anyone in need of shelter or a warming center is urged to visit 211ct.org or call 2-1-1 to find available locations. Transportation can be provided if necessary.
HOLIDAY CLOSURE NOTICE:
Please be advised, the Quinnipiack Valley Health District (QVHD) will be CLOSED on Wednesday, December 24th & Thursday, December 25th in observance of Christmas.
QVHD will reopen Friday, December 26th at 8:30 AM.
