The Quinnipiack Valley Health District (QVHD) is governed by a thirteen member Board of Directors (BOD) composed of the Director of Health | CEO and thirteen District appointed members.

Board of Directors are appointed by District Town board of selectmen or other appropriate legislative bodies (such as city council). Membership is directly related to District town population with one representative appointed from each municipality within the District. An additional representative is appointed for every 10,000 persons, however, no more than 5 representatives may serve a respective town.

QVHD’s Board of Directors meet monthly on the 4th Thursday of the month at 5 PM. Meetings are held virtually via Zoom or in-person within QVHD’s Conference Room.
